October was nice. It started well with CosMania Day 2, then the following weekends were days of meeting with friends and relatives. I was a little down (post-event blues perhaps?), but I finally recovered lol.
Anime Movie + Gachapon Time
Watched Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei at SM Megamall with Satsunyan! I don’t know why I decided to see this movie on a whim… probably because it has been a while since I last watched an anime on the big screen and I wanted to hear Nakamura Yuuichi and Terashima Takuma (plus his wife lol).
This wasn’t part of the plan, but I ended up rolling two tries for this Prince of Stride gachapon. I’ve never played the game, but I’ve watched the anime and its stageplay in Japan. To be honest, I still have a Shizuma (Kobayashi Ryo) and Senoo (Nakada Hiroki) phase.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t lucky this time. I wanted Shizuma’s, but I got Heath (with the headband) on the first try and Ayumu (with the glasses) on the second. OTL
Lastly, I’d just like to say that I like my eyeliner here lol. For someone whose eyes are monolid, the struggle of putting an eyeliner is real.
Spent almost five hours at Hades’ condo, singing AKB48, 9nine, Hello! Project, Cardcaptor Sakura, and other anime and idol songs. And look, we also have a tambourine!
Beating the Sedentary Lifestyle
I’m not the type who goes to the gym (I stopped) or goes for a jog around the neighborhood, but I always look for alternatives so I can still “exercise.” One of them is jogging or walking up/down the stairs at Ayala MRT. I may look like your average commuter on a hurry, but I also do it for some cardio. I also walk to and from work, so that’s an hour of walking every day.
On weekends, I usually have dance rehearsals with SK. When I don’t, well, we have a treadmill at home.
Work Happenings + Halloween Party
Due to the heavy influence of Bakumatsu Rock’s stageplay, I asked my workmates if we can order a Pizza Margherita at Flaming Dough. Many food establishments have been popping up near our workplace, and I’m thankful tbh.
I was hired on the day our company was holding a Halloween party back in 2012. I wasn’t able to join, but I clearly remember how there was a Jack Sparrow sneaking into the room during my final interview lol. Fast forward to 2017, I’ve witnessed how our department always wins the annual room decoration contest. Ahh, fun times.
Our theme this time was crazy, cannibal neighbors. I didn’t dress up because I’ve already retired from doing that. Many people at work assume that I cosplay, so they’ve been making me join the costume contest for two (or three?) years. As for my contribution in the props making, I made a makeshift fireplace out of cardboard boxes. ww
If you’re reading this, I would also like to know what were the highlights of your October. ‘Til the next update! 😉
