We’ve always wanted to go out of town, but we’ve never imagined to do it so suddenly. A few days of preparation and we’re off to Clark, Pampanga for the 21st Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.
How We Got Free Tickets
SkinWhite, a brand under Splash Corporation, held a promo on Facebook to promote a new product. All you have to do is share their video and tag people you want to invite.
We were informed about the good news a few days before the weekend, so we kind of struggled to meet our schedules and find a mode of transportation. But all is well.
A Day Before the Event
We decided to sleepover at Kang‘s house, so we can leave and get to the venue early. I met with Donna at Trinoma before heading there. The mall was so crowded that we ended up having our dinner at Quiznos. It was nostalgic because this is where we first met her and she’s wearing the same shirt from that time. Haha.
Arrival at Clark, Pampanga
After claiming our tickets, we roamed around the booths and saw lots of food and goodies. From clothes to accessories, the event has everything.
While we were busy doing our own thing, I found out that they’ve been documenting our “Literally, just hang in there!” idea. It was a hot afternoon, but that didn’t stop us from derping around. Yep. Definitely not.
We dropped by at Skin White’s booth to claim our prints, but sadly, their system was down and we weren’t able to claim any print at all. And so, we decided to take a group picture instead. It’s difficult to take a photo as a group, but thanks to the lady who helped us!
If there’s one thing I’d like to complain about this event, it’s the people attending it. It’s hot and we understand that you want to take some shade, but what about the people who want to sit down and eat their meal? Mannnn, it was so frustrating because the chairs and tables were there (in front of the food stalls) for a reason. You can’t just take it wherever you go like you own it. (╬ Ò ‸ Ó)
Anyway, we roamed some more after eating lunch. I took pictures of the air show and people flying their kites. The weather was perfect.
Ended the day taking a photo with Jollibee and of course, flying a huge kite. To be honest, I kind of underestimated it since it was rather heavy and difficult to control.
We felt so dirty with all the dust, so we bought a new pair of socks. It was “Buy 5 Take 1,” so we also got one for our friend who’s currently enjoying Japan’s cold weather while we die of the scorching heat. LOL.
That wraps up our sudden trip to Clark. We wanted to stay longer for the 5:30 P.M. hot air balloon show, but we don’t want to be stranded again. The traffic was a nightmare that we parked our vehicle more than a kilometer away from the venue. All in all, it was a fun experience! Too bad I heard that this will be the last one.
