It has been a busy OTY week (make that two!) at work. The usual routine of not going out during lunch break whenever we have so much to do. I thought I’ll settle with a slice of banana bread again, but the situation changed when I heard that my workmates are ordering food outside.
One Vegan, Two Vegan
Being in the same workplace for four years, it’s natural to get tired of all the food choices out there. We have KFC, Army Navy, Mang Inasal, Chowking, Jollibee, Greenwich, and (my favorite) Subway nearby, but I felt like my taste buds deserved a treat.
We have vegans (not to be confused with vegetarian) at work and in some cases, they’ve convinced people in our department to order vegan food.
We placed our order before 10 A.M. because Juicesabel All Vegan Cafe has a cut-off time for deliveries. I got their special for this week, Thai Tofu Curry (main dish) + onion rings (side dish). My other workmates got Tofu and Mushroom Sisig with Vegan Sunny Side up Egg and Korean Bibimbap.
I ordered curry and was expecting it to be yellow or dark yellow, but it’s green (duh). Not that I mind because it smelled so good when I opened the container. Fruits not included, but is part of my after-meal.
The onion rings are A+ crunchy and tasty, the carrots were cooked evenly (not mushy), and the tofu goes well with curry even if it’s thin. I wish the portion was a bit smaller, though, but that’s my personal preference. Oh, and it has been a while since I last ate brown rice. What a fulfilling meal.
If you’re in the Ayala Ave, Makati Ave, Salcedo Village, Legazpi Village, and San Antonio Village area, they offer free shipping! Meals are priced 100-150, which I find reasonable. Will most probably order again.
P.S. I’m not turning vegan or anything (wish I could). Haha. I just love good food, and this is good food. Literally.
