Hey, hey, hey! Remember when I wrote a blog about the new purikura booths at Fairview Terraces? Guess what. They moved one of them to Robinson’s Galleria. If you happen to drop by Kidzoonia, you’ll see the How To+ purikura booth there. o(*>ω<*)o
Now, the reason I’m making this blog post is to give everyone a tutorial on how you can save at least one HQ photo from your purikura session. A good idea when you don’t have a scanner, right? ww
Getting the Code
After decorating your photos, the machine will ask if you want to save them. Choose “yes” and it will show all the photos the purikura booth took. You’ll be given a chance to pick two (one for you and one for your companion).
Note: The booth I used is Silky (the one with Triendl Reina), so the options displayed are different from other booths. I’m not sure if it’s the XOXO 2 or the How To+ that has a memory game while you wait for the photos to be printed.
Get the photos and check the sides to see the code.
Saving the Photos
Download the Puripix app. I’m an Apple user, so I’m not sure if this is also available for Android or Windows Phone. Sorry! (The app supports English, but my phone was set to Japanese during this screenshot.)
Open the app and choose start (はじめる). You don’t need to have a Facebook account or even log in to get your photos. At the homepage, look for “Search” on the top-left part of the screen and then enter the code.
The app will show the HQ photos, but all of them are locked except for the one you chose to download for free. To get them all, you need coins. It’s the same as buying on your iTunes account.
Click save and you’re done! If ever you failed to save the photo, you can simply take a screenshot or share it directly to your social media accounts. You get the same quality anyways.
Use your code as soon as possible because there’s a time limit. There’s an exclamation point below where it states when the photos will expire. We took this yesterday (July 23rd), so I guess the limit is three weeks.
So that’s it for my tutorial. Don’t forget the hashtag #puripix if you’re going to upload your photos online. If you have questions, feel free to drop a comment. (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧
